Hip-to-Gable Conversion: Space Where You Need It
To unlock enough headroom and usable space, we transformed the roof with a hip-to-gable conversion and added a south-facing dormer. This approach allowed for full-height ceilings, extra floor area, and plenty of natural light and ventilation—creating a room that feels open, bright, and welcoming.
A Retreat With Personality
Exposed black beams add contrast and character, celebrating the structure while drawing the eye upwards. Thoughtful interior choices—including greenery, tactile finishes, and warm lighting—make this more than a bedroom. It’s a private sanctuary that’s perfect for relaxing, studying, and recharging.
Smart Layout, Seamless Living
Instead of walls, we used a raised sleeping platform to zone the room while keeping the space open. The low bed enhances ceiling height and pendant lighting saves floor space. Natural materials, white walls, and soft textures create a calming and personalised environment.
