Our client in Denmead came to us with a simple but powerful aim: to create a calming, light-filled space where he could enjoy his garden all year round.
The existing uPVC conservatory was too hot in summer, too cold in winter, and didn’t offer the comfort or visual appeal he hoped for. It also exposed less attractive garden areas used for storage. What he wanted instead was a place to relax, unwind, grow plants, and entertain—whatever the season.
Smart Decisions, Seamless Build
During our early site analysis, we identified an old, unused sewage system beneath the proposed build area. This gave us the green light to progress without major service interruptions.
We also evolved the original design—moving from a cantilevered concept to a more grounded brick form with a parapet roof and coping stones. This not only created a more cohesive aesthetic but also ensured long-term durability and improved rainwater drainage.
Connecting Inside and Out
To strengthen the relationship between the home and garden, we installed full-width bi-fold doors that open completely to the outdoor space. This seamless transition allows for effortless entertaining in warmer months and provides uninterrupted views and fresh air all year round.
Frosted glazing to the sides preserves privacy and blocks less desirable views, such as garden tool storage—without compromising on brightness.
